Public Information and Cooperation with the Professional Community
Reaching Out with Purpose, Speaking In Anonymity
Inform the Public & Professionals
Maintain communication with local professionals about A.A.’s role in District 8
Attend professional events when appropriate to represent A.A.’s public presence
Uphold and communicate A.A.’s tradition of anonymity in public outreach
Media & Anonymity
Maintain relationships with local media outlets while clearly communicating A.A.’s position on anonymity
Support public information efforts in a way that aligns with the Twelve Traditions
Participation & Reporting
Attend and report at monthly District 8 Business Meetings
Participate in Area 15 PI/CPC Committee meetings
Report back to District 8 on Area 15 PI/CPC activity
Communication & Website
Monitor committee email and respond to public or media inquiries
Coordinate with the Website Chair to ensure all PI/CPC resources are current and accurate
Budget
- Submit an annual budget request to the District 8 Treasurer
Qualifications to become a Committee Chair
3 years of sobriety
1 year as a GSR in District 8
