  • Records all actions taken at District 8 business meetings, including motions (verbatim), election results, and other business outcomes

  • Includes supporting documents in the minutes, such as committee reports, financials, district map, and flyers

  • Compiles the District 8 business meeting minutes and agenda for review and approval by the Chairperson

  • Furnishes the final business meeting agenda to the Chairperson after the close of motions

  • Emails the finalized minutes and other communications to the District 8 Chairperson for distribution to members

  • Provides printed copies of the Quarterly flyer, meeting agenda, and additional District 8 materials at business meetings

  • Supplies extra copies of District 8 minutes for new GSRs

  • Shares copies of any correspondence deemed necessary by the Chair at District meetings

  • Attends all Area 15 Quarterlies

  • Participates in the Area Secretary meeting and reports back to District 8

  • Serves as an ex-officio member of the Current Practices Committee

  • Takes roll call at the Area 15 Quarterly Business Meeting if the Registrar is absent

  • Monitors the Secretary email account and responds as needed

  • Submits a proposed budget each October to the Treasurer for the upcoming fiscal year
  • 5 years of sobriety
  • 3 years of service in District 8
  • 1 year as a DCM in District 8
